Feature Friday - it's your turn!

I know what you're thinking. "Man...I've tweeted, tumbled, pinned, and squidoo-ed my products but it's just not enough. I wish there was another place to showcase my work." Well artist, I have some good news for you. Feature Fridays are starting up again here at Wild Rose and we want to show off your greatest designs.

"That sounds fantastic! What do I have to do to be featured?"

Signing up is really simple. All you need to do is send an e-mail with the following information:

- the link to your store
- a store description; minimum length of three sentences
- links to three of your products
- a full description of each of the three products

In order to be featured, all of the above information must be included in the e-mail. Once you have submitted your information be sure to check back on Friday to see if you're in the spotlight. And that's it! Pretty easy, huh? So while you're thinking about it, take five minutes and write that e-mail! After all, a promotion opportunity is not something you want to push off ;)

Please note that artists will be featured on a first come, first serve basis. So the sooner you apply, the sooner you'll be featured!

Oh those summer days

I am a horrible blogger. But in all fairness I was busy with summer activities...which is better than sitting in front of a computer all day, right? Right.

The season started with a trip down south to visit with friends and family. Although I possess much dislike for my hometown, there is one thing that I truly miss about it - sitting on the beach and watching the sun rise.
It wasn't long after this trip that I was packing my bags again, the travel gods sending me to the beautiful state that is Tennessee.
While there I had the opportunity to do something that I love - tour a cave :) This cave was unlike any other that I had seen for deep inside was a huge waterfall! Yes, you read that correctly. A waterfall. Inside a cave. And the way the lights hit the cascading waters made the sight just absolutely breath-taking. If you ever have the chance to see Ruby Falls, do it! The trip will be worth every penny, I promise you.

This brings us to the next major event - the sole reason I was in Tennessee - the Supernatural Convention. For those who don't know, Supernatural is a CW show where two brothers fight urban legends and monsters. Females love it because three of the hottest actors on T.V. are in the show - Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and Misha Collins. Some fans actually have a preference.

As for me? Well, I don't know how they could choose! All of these men were as sweet as they were attractive. And did I mention that I got to meet the three of them? Yeah, it was pretty awesome. So awesome that I've already started saving my money so that I can attend next year.

Anyway, the summer concluded with some sight-seeing around western Pennsylvania but alas, the photos haven't been uploaded yet. Besides, this entry is already kind of long dontcha think? Yeah, I thought so :P

Till next time!

Re-entry into the blogosphere?

My apologies for being MIA...again. Between a quarter-life crisis and other life-things, I just haven't really had the time to blog. I have, however, managed to Zazzle. Stop in for a visit to see what I've added :) Hopefully more blog posts are in my future!

P.S. No one has a caption for this photo? Really? Looks like I was not the only one experiencing a creative block so I'll be accepting caption suggestions for one more week :) Looking forward to your responses!

Winning, duh!

Truth be told, I don't spend a whole lot of time listening to celebrity gossip. This probably stems from my strong dislike of publicizing someone's personal life. Famous or not, the person is...well, a person and oftentimes the privacy boundaries are crossed.  Realizing this early in life (we're talking elementary school, here) would explain why I never got too caught up in a celebrity's life.

But sometimes news will reach my ears, such is the case with Charlie Sheen.

While I do think the man is experiencing a psychotic break and while I do wish the media would turn their cameras off so that he can properly heal...I have to admit that he did inspire one of my newest designs.

And you wanna know something else? I can kind of relate to this particular quote. Although I am currently unemployed, I feel like a winner right now.
  • Ideas for products and stories have been multiplying in my head like a couple of rabbits.
  • The Supernatural Convention is now less than two months away.
  • It has been confirmed that the new Batman movie will film scenes in my town this summer.
  • I was in a movie last summer, and the trailer for it is finally gonna premiere this Wednesday on MTV.
  • Ke$ha put on a FREE concert in my town on Sunday.
So yeah, I'm in a damn good mood right now. And don't winner have a positive state of mind? :-)

Till next time,
Unemployed Winner

Capturing the beauty of the world around us is a difficult task for most. But for Tom, it's as easy as breathing. This Zazzle artist successfully captured the essence of Washington and with so many great photographs it was hard to pick just three.

Gold Creek Pond

"The subtle reflection enhances this scenic mountain view. Last remaining colors of Autumn are mixed with a light dusting of snow from the first winter storm. Framed, this image will enhance any home or office. Gold Creek Pond, a favorite short hiking trail and picnic area is located near Snoqualmie Pass summit."

Dusk Poster

"Dusk on Mt. Rainier. Converted to HDR" Such vibrant colors! This poster is sure to brighten up any room.

 The Walla Walla

"The Washington State Ferry docked in Edmonds, WA." Above the ferry sits a bright full moon.
